the new digs

i just moved into a new place recently. after a couple of months of construction work, my room (which used to be a kitchen, so there was a significant amount of work to do) was finally ready. once i got a bunch of my stuff moved in, i took some pictures, which are now here for your edification. keep in mind that this is a move-in in progress, so the place is still a mess until i get everything sorted and out of boxes.

entering the room, the opposite (roughly northeast) corner is where my desk and stereo sit. i'd be able to work at the desk, but the floor is slanted just enough that my rolly chair won't stay still. damn hardwood.
turning counterclockwise, the northwest corner holds my bed. and just the bed. the north wall has great windows, though, which let in a ton of light, but little to no direct sun.
looking back towards the entrance, you can see my dresser just under the lightswitch. along with several lovely boxes full of crap to be unpacked.
the southeast corner, which is where the dishwasher used to be, is now a lovely closet. i love the color of the doors; now i just have to do something with the rest of the room so that they don't stick out against the bright white walls so damn much.
